Watkins Glen is a village and census-designated place in and the county seat of Schuyler County, New York, at the southern tip of Seneca Lake, within the scenic Finger Lakes region. As of the 2020 census, the population was 1,829. The village is well-known for its natural beauty, historical significance, and vibrant auto racing culture.
Watkins Glen State Park is the most famous of the Finger Lakes State Parks, with a reputation for leaving visitors spellbound. Within two miles, the glen's stream descends 400 feet past 200-foot cliffs, generating 19 waterfalls along its course.
