| The Pinson Mounds are a prehistoric Native American site located in Madison County, Tennessee, in the region known as the Eastern Forest. The complex comprises 17 mounds, a geometric earthworks, and several living areas, most likely constructed during the Middle Forest period (approximately 1-500 AD). The Pinson mounds are now part of the Pinson Mounds National Archaeological Park. | |
