Delaware Bay is the mouth of the Delaware River located on the northeastern coast of the United States, between the states of Delaware and New Jersey. Covering an area of approximately 782 square miles (2,030 km²), the bay's freshwater mixes with the saltwater of the Atlantic Ocean for many miles.
The Chesapeake Bay is the largest estuary in the United States. Located in the Mid-Atlantic Ocean, it is primarily separated from the Atlantic by the Delmarva Peninsula, encompassing parts of the eastern coast of Maryland, the eastern coast of Virginia, and the state of Delaware. The southernmost point of the bay lies between Cape Henry and Cape Charles.

The mountain range is located in the Eastern United States and extends 550 miles southwest from southern Pennsylvania through Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Georgia.
