Graham County is a county located in southeastern Arizona and covers an area of approximately 4,641 square miles. It is bordered by several other counties, including Gila County to the west, Pinal County to the northwest, Cochise County to the east, and Greenlee County to the south. As of the 2020 census, the population was 38,533.
Mt Graham is a mountain in Graham County, Arizona, United States, approximately 70 miles (110 km) northeast of Tucson. The mountain reaches 10,724 feet (3,269 m) in height. It is the highest elevation in Graham County, Coronado National Forest and the Pinaleño Mountains.
The 23,000-acre Gila Box Riparian National Conservation Area includes four perennial waterways, the Gila and San Francisco rivers and Bonita and Eagle creeks. This region is a very special riparian ecosystem abounding with plant and animal diversity.
St. Paisius Monastery is an English-speaking monastery dedicated to St. Paisius (Velichkovsky), whose notable translation works brought the Philokalic teaching to Russia, generating a significant revival in monastic life there, most notably at Optina Monastery. St. Paisius had lived for seventeen years on Mount Athos, founding the Skete of St. Elias.
