Nassau County is located in the northeastern corner of Florida, bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the east and Georgia to the north. The designated county seat is Fernandina Beach. The county is known for its beautiful beaches, especially on Amelia Island, as well as its rivers and wetlands. The county's population was 101,501 on July 1, 2023, up from 90,352 at the 2020 census.
