Arunachal Pradesh is a state in northeastern India. Its highest elevation (Kangto) is 7,090 m (23,260 ft) and its lowest elevation (Brahmaputra River) is 44 m (144 ft). According to the 2011 census, Arunachal Pradesh had a population of 1,383,727. Itanagar is the state capital and largest city.
Tawang Monastery is a Buddhist monastery located in Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh, India. It is the largest monastery in the country. The monastery is situated in the Tawang Chu Valley, near the border between China and Bhutan. The monastery is three stories high and is surrounded by a 925-foot (282 m) long wall.
