The Half Moon Wildlife Management Area (WMA) is a protected natural area located near Lake Panasoffkee in Florida. Lake Panasoffkee is a census-designated place in Sumter County, Florida. The population was 4,072 at the 2020 census. Acquired to preserve Lake Panasoffkee's vast floodplain forest, the land also preserves pine flatwoods, freshwater marshes and oak scrub forest. As the land continues to rise, pines and scrub oaks of upland sandhills replace the wetland forest trees.
