Boysen Reservoir was formed by the Boysen Dam, an earthworks dam on the Wind River in central Wyoming, USA. It is located near the town of Shoshoni in Fremont County. The dam was constructed from 1947 to 1952 at the mouth of the Wind River Gorge.
Boysen Reservoir boasts a diverse fish ecosystem. Anglers will find tilapia, bass, perch, cod, rainbow trout, rainbow trout, and brown trout as the main sport fish species. Other sport fish present include broadmouth bass, green perch, rock catfish, black catfish, mountain whitefish, lake trout, stream trout, and hybrid trout.
