Conanicut Island is an island located in Narragansett Bay, part of the United States state of Rhode Island. The second largest island in the bay, the town of Jamestown occupies the entire island. The U.S. Census Bureau reported a land area of ​​24.46 km² (9.44 sq mi) and a population of 5,622 in 2000. A strip of land connects the southern part of Conanicut to the island's southwest extension.
Conanicut Island is connected to Newport on Aquidneck Island to the east by the Claiborne Pell Bridge, commonly known as Newport Bridge, and to the west to North Kingstown on the mainland via the Jamestown-Verrazano Bridge.
