The colossal stone head statues atop the 2150-meter-high Mount Nemrut in Nemrut National Park are one of Türkiye's most famous landmarks. These statues of Greek and Persian gods reach heights of up to 9 meters (33 feet) and are part of a complex of tombs and temples built by Antiochus I (69–34 BC), ruler of the kingdom of Commagene.
Additionally, it is the site of the Antioch burial mound, Eskikale (Arsameia), Yenikale (New Castle), Karakus Tepe (Mountain Peak), and Cendere Bridge.

Twin Fairy Chimneys
Place » Outdoors

The Twin Fairy Chimneys, also known as "Peri Bacaları," are a striking geological formation found in Cappadocia, Türkiye. These fairy chimneys are tall, thin spires of rock that have been naturally formed by the erosion of softer volcanic rock. They are a part of Cappadocia's unique landscape, which also includes other rock formations, cave dwellings, and ancient churches.
