| Mount Omuro is a 580-meter-high ash cone volcano located within the Izu-Tobu volcanic complex in Itō, Shizuoka, Japan. The tradition of burning bonfires on this isolated peak in early spring each year has been practiced for over 700 years, fostering lush vegetation and making it a symbol of Itō. This mountain is recognized as a national natural monument and is part of the Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park. | |
