Piazza dell'Anfiteatro is a public square located in the northeast corner of the city center of Lucca, Tuscany, Italy. The circle of buildings surrounding the square follows the elliptical shape of the ancient Roman amphitheater of the second century in Lucca. The square, also known as Piazza Del Mercado, is accessible through four gates, each located at the four extreme points of the ellipse.
