The Pafos mosaics are considered among the finest mosaic artworks in the eastern Mediterranean and are part of the Kato Pafos Archaeological Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1980. They were discovered in 1962, after a farmer plowing his field accidentally unearthed one of them.
The mansions of Dionysos, Theseus, Aion, and Orpheus are the residences of four Roman nobles dating from the 2nd to the 5th centuries AD. Their exquisite floor mosaics depict various scenes from Greek mythology.
