| Borgholm Castle in Borgholm, Sweden, is now just the ruins of a fortress first built in the latter half of the 13th century and rebuilt several times in the following centuries. It was connected to the Halltorp estate to the south. The castle was destroyed in a fire on October 14, 1806. Its ruins subsequently became one of the most magnificent monuments in Sweden. | |
