Baishatun Gongtian Temple is a prominent Taoist temple located in Tongxiao Township, Miaoli County, Taiwan. It is dedicated to the goddess Mazu, a deity widely revered in Chinese culture as the protector of sailors, fishermen, and travelers.
Located between Hsinchu county and Taichung city, Miaoli is one of the best travel and vacation spots in western Taiwan. The main attraction in Miaoli is Shitoushan, or Lion's Head Mountain. This isn't one of the oldest temples on the island, but it is said to be very nice, and an interesting place to spend some restful days and nights. Miaoli's population was 535,011 in 2023.
