Henan is a province located in the central-eastern part of China, to the south of the Yellow River. It is surrounded by several other provinces, including Shanxi, Hebei, Shandong, Anhui, Hubei, and Shaanxi. The province had a population of 99,365,519 in 2020. The capital of Henan is Zhengzhou, which is one of the major cities in the province.
Located two and a half hours south-west of Luoyang, Mount Laojun is one of the most popular destinations in Henan Province. It is part of the Qinling Mountain Range, which divides China between North and South, through the respective provinces of Gansu, Shaanxi and Henan, and the Funiu Mountain Range, which flows through Shanxi Province and so Henan over 400 km.
