The Azure Window was a 28-metre-tall natural limestone arch located in San Lawrenz, a small village on the western coast of the Maltese island of Gozo. The arch was formed through the erosion of the surrounding limestone cliffs by the sea over thousands of years.
Gozo is one of the three main islands of Malta, a small archipelago located in the Mediterranean Sea. It is situated to the northwest of the main island of Malta. Gozo is the second-largest island in the Maltese archipelago, after the main island of Malta. It has an area of around 67 square kilometers (26 square miles) and had a population of 31,232 residents in 2021.
