Skunk Harbor is a hidden gem located on the eastern shore of Lake Tahoe, near Carson City, Nevada. This secluded beach is known for its crystal-clear waters, historic remnants, and stunning natural beauty, making it a favorite destination for hikers, beachgoers, and nature lovers looking for a quiet escape from more crowded Tahoe beaches.

Secret Cove Nude Beach is not actually located in Carson City, Nevada. It is situated at Lake Tahoe, which is about a 45-minute drive southwest of Carson City. Secret Cove is a clothing-optional or nude beach on the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe.

Kings Canyon Waterfall is a short 5 minute drive west of downtown on King St. which dead-ends at the Kings Canyon Trail-head. This 25-foot cascading waterfall is most full in the Spring time but still is a beautiful sight in all seasons. From the Kings Canyon Trail-head it’s a short .25 mile hike to the falls.

Located on the East Shore of Lake Tahoe, in Nevada, at the junction of Highway 50 and Highway 28, is the Spooner Summit Snow Play Area. This informal sled hill is just 9 miles south of Incline Village and offers a steep gradient near the top or more mellow terrain if those less daring don’t climb to the top. Sledding is free and participants must bring their own equipment.

Carson City is an independent city and the capital of the U.S. state of Nevada. As of the 2020 census, the population was 58,639. The majority of the city's population lives in Eagle Valley, on the eastern edge of the Carson Range, a branch of the Sierra Nevada, about 30 miles (50 km) south of Reno.
